The Medical Director has a direct reporting line to the Country Manager. Its main function is to ensure that all scientific and clinical activities comply with current regulations and support the company’s strategic development. The Medical Director plays a key role in facilitating communication between the scientific and corporate worlds. Medical Director collaborates with research teams, interprets the results of clinical trials and contributes to defining the therapeutic indications for medicines. Furthermore, he or she supervises scientific publications and attends international conferences and meetings, representing the company within the medical and scientific community. The Medical Director is expected to comply with all Accord Healthcare Processes and any relevant National guidelines*. *The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) Code of Practice, as well as the EU Directive 2001/83/EC and Members' national codes and local regulations, guide the interactions between the pharmaceutical industry/ Medical Director and HCPs/Patients Association.
