We are working with a market leading insurance Underwriter seeking an Tax Associate in Milan. It is entering an exciting period of exponential growth. This position is a great opportunity to join a growing company and gain exposure to all facets of the insurance industry. What is the role? This is an opportunity with a market leading underwriter for an experienced Tax Lawyer to build a career in the Insurance industry whilst still utilising their legal experience. What will you be doing? * Reviewing and negotiating tax insurance policy wordings on Italian and European transactions. * Responding to insured counsel comments and proposed amendments to policy language * Drafting bespoke endorsements, exclusions, limitations,



and tax-specific coverage provisions * Advising underwriters internally on wording risk and legal interpretation issue * Stress-testing wording against potential claims scenarios and litigation outcomes * Helping maintain and update precedent wordings, clause libraries, and internal knowledge resources * Working closely with tax underwriters and claims teams on complex technical points * Assessing whether requested wording changes materially alter the insurer’s risk position * Analysing transaction documents (SPAs, disclosure letters, tax deeds, structuring memos) What do you need to apply? * 3+ years of tax experience from a law firm or equivalent in-house role. * Strong tax technical knowledge * Advanced drafting and redlining skills * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment without compromising on quality.
