As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Amyloidosis, you will act as a key scientific partner between AstraZeneca and the medical community, engaging in high-quality scientific exchange with healthcare professionals, key external experts, and clinical investigators. With a focus on your assigned territory, you will contribute to improving disease awareness, early diagnosis, and optimal patient management in amyloidosis—an area characterized by significant unmet medical need and complex, multidisciplinary care pathways. You will identify evidence gaps, gather actionable insights from clinical practice, and support the generation and dissemination of scientific evidence. Accountabilities: * Support the Field Force and cross-functional teams through continuous scientific updates on amyloidosis, including disease awareness, diagnostic pathways, and treatment approaches.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs), centers of excellence, and multidisciplinary teams (e.g., cardiologists, neurologists, hematologists), acting as the primary scientific contact. * Identify local unmet medical needs, barriers to diagnosis, and gaps in patient pathways, and contribute to the definition of a Local Scientific Plan (LSP) aligned with business priorities. * Provide medical input into competitive intelligence activities, including critical review of scientific literature and competitor data in the amyloidosis space. * Support Medical Advisors/Medical Lead and Clinical Operations in site identification, feasibility assessments, and execution of clinical trials. * Facilitate the collection and discussion of investigator-initiated study proposals within the assigned territory. * Collaborate closely with Area/Field Managers to implement the Local Sc
