* Hiring Agency: Commander, Navy Installations Command This position is located in the NSA Naples Business Activities Division, Bowling Center, NSA Naples Support Site, Gricignano, Italy. The purpose of this position is to provide counter service, food preparation and serving, beverage and barista service. Employee will assist and receive training and experience in cooking short order items, pizza, and catering functions/special events. Key Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of food preparations and limited cooking tasks in a club and/or snack bar environment. Assists higher level food service worker or cook to perform a variety of tasks such as grilling/frying pancakes, hamburgers, hotdogs, bacon, eggs, sausage by watching while the items are cooking, turning as required, regulating temperature and removing when done to specified temperature. Measures and weighs ingredients according to recipes or as directed in the preparation of salads, desserts, juices, fruit trays, etc. Prepares toast, salads, salad dressing and sandwiches.
Prepares vegetables and fruits for serving according to instructors and/or recipes. Prepares pizzas to specific recipes. May be required to prepare and serve beverages (coffee/smoothie/tea) and packaged alcoholic beverages. Plates food for presentation to guests in accordance with instructed procedure/specification. Washes and cleans kitchen equipment and work area. Keeps refrigerators, grills, equipment and working area clean and sanitary at all times. May be required to collect money, operate a cash register, and prepare Daily Activity Report (DAR) for cash accountability for MWR funds received. May assist in taking monthly inventory. May assist with outdoor MWR functions. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements & Education This position does not have a positive education requirement.
