GLOBAL COMMODITY MANAGER DIRECT MATERIALSGLOBAL COMMODITY MANAGER DIRECT MATERIALS The Client: Our Client is a large international industrial player (undisclosed), in the North of Italy. Within the company, Procurement represents a Strategic Global Function under the leadership of the Group CPO, who is successfully driving a relevant transformation and value generation journey. The Procurement function has been progressively shaped to be a "best in class" contributor to this journey, with a solid governance, a clear strategy, and distinctive skills to support continued company growth and future acquisitions. In this context, a new Commodity Manager, Direct Materials is now needed: an A-player, who can bring across fresh energy and strong functional skills to strengthen the function even further. Position – The role: The Global Commodity Manager will report to the Procurement Director of Business Unit and will take ownership of Raw Materials categories/Direct Materials. The role has an international scope,
encompassing oversight of approximately 10 manufacturing plants globally He/she will be in charge of 1) Designing a comprehensive commodity strategy and, 2) Initiating breakthrough Commodity Programs and Policies across the supply base, to ensure optimum TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), on top of quality, delivery, sustainability, and innovation. The role implies coordination of 2/3 buyers. The complexity of the role and the recognised seniority will be driven by * the ability to shape in autonomy the global strategy for the assigned commodity and group of key suppliers; and * the capability to lead this strategy across a range of commodities, driving them through their next transformation phase. The achievements obtained will generate high impact for the whole group and will be of high significance for a consistent professional career development.
