pFor a client of ours based in Milan, we are currently looking for a Communications Engineer to join as a freelancer till end February 2028. Project phase: Detail Design EPC. /ppbJob Purpose /b /ppProvide PMC leadership and technical oversight for Communication and Networking Systems within the Instrumentation Automation scope during EPC execution, commissioning, and start-up phases. Ensure all systems are designed, integrated, installed, and commissioned in compliance with project requirements, cybersecurity requirements, and international standards. /ppbKey Responsibilities and Duties /b /pulliLead the Communications and Networking scope /liliReview EPC engineering deliverables, network architectures, specifications, and vendor documentation. /liliEnsure compliance with project standards and applicable international codes. /liliOversee industrial communication systems including Fiber Optics, LAN/WAN, Industrial Ethernet, Wireless Networks, IP Telephony, PAGA, CCTV, and Radio Systems. /liliVerify integration of communication networks with DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA,
and other automation systems. /liliParticipate in technical reviews, FATs, SATs, commissioning, and start-up activities. /liliLiaise with Client, EPC Contractor, Vendors, and Operations teams to resolve technical issues. /liliMonitor progress, identify risks, and ensure successful project delivery. /li /ulpbEducational Technical Requirements: /b /pulliBachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline. /lili10-15 years of experience in Oil Gas or Petrochemical projects. /liliExperience in PMC, Owner's Engineer, or EPC project execution roles. /liliStrong knowledge of Industrial Communication Networks, Fiber Optics, Structured Cabling, PAGA, CCTV, Radio, and IP Telephony systems. /liliExperience with automation system integration (DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA). /liliGood knowledge of Industrial Cybersecurity and networking standards. /liliStrong familia
