Rate: Flexible based on relevant experience and availability Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to support a major pharmaceutical project based in Lombardy, Italy. This is an urgent requirement for a highly skilled engineering professional with a strong background in pharmaceutical process design and project execution. The successful candidate will play a key role in the engineering and design phases of the project, providing technical expertise and ensuring process solutions meet operational, regulatory, and quality requirements. This is initially a 9-month contract with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position. Key Responsibilities Lead process engineering and design activities across project phases Develop and review process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs;, process calculations, and technical specifications Support conceptual, basic, and detailed design activities Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers,



and stakeholders Ensure designs comply with GMP requirements and pharmaceutical industry standards Conduct process evaluations, risk assessments, and engineering reviews Support equipment selection, sizing, and process optimisation activities Provide technical input during project meetings and design reviews Assist with commissioning, qualification, and start-up activities where required Requirements Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline Minimum 8 years' process engineering experience within the pharmaceutical industry Strong design engineering background with proven project delivery experience Experience working within regulated GMP environments Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and facilities Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work on-site or in a hybrid capacity in Lombardy, Italy Ideal Candidate Profile An experienced Senior Process Engineer with 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience,
