In this role, you'll work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day. What You'll Do * Welcome and prepare patients for appointments. * Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information. * Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection. * Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed. * Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients. * Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes. * Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers. * Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
General Requirements EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of accredited/approved: * MA program and MA Externship; * MA Internship; * Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program; * Paramedic program; or * Certified Athletic Trainer. If credentialed, maintains current MA Re-Certification CEUs. Credentials/Licensure MA-Non-Credentialed I: MA eligible to attain Medical Assistant Certification is desired, or EMT with current/active license in the State of Michigan, or Paramedic following successful completion of the National Registry Paramedic Exam and/or holds a current/active license in the State of Michigan. Valid CPR certification. MA-Credentialed I: Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following certifying agencies: * American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) * American Medical Technologists (RMA) * National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) * National Healthcare
