ABOUT THE ROLE

Shape the future of technology at Volkswagen Group Africa as our Enterprise Architect. In this influential role, you will translate business and IT strategy into a coherent, secure and sustainable technology direction, enabling innovation, reducing complexity and guiding enterprise-wide transformation. - This position is based in the IT Infrastructure & Services Department - IT (Kariega)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap, aligned with business and IT priorities.
- Guide portfolio priorities, architecture enablers and dependencies to optimise value, cost and risk.
- Maintain architecture principles, standards, methods and reference models.
- Review solution designs, risks and exceptions for enterprise, security and Group alignment.
- Coordinate business, data, application and technology landscapes to improve integration and reduce duplication.
- Set technology direction by assessing trends, vendor roadmaps, lifecycle risks and technical debt.
- Link business capabilities and value streams to technology initiatives and measurable outcomes.
- Build architecture capability through coaching, reusable artefacts,



shared tools, peer reviews and knowledge sharing

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

- National Diploma or degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or Information Systems
- TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification preferred.
- Governance, portfolio management, project delivery or Lean-Agile certification/knowledge advantageous

Experience:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in IT or Enterprise Architecture.
- Experience leading major technology implementation or transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience in architecture strategy, governance, standards, roadmaps and cross-domain architecture.
- Sound knowledge of business processes, IT governance, risk management and technology lifecycles.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders, architects, delivery teams and external partners.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

- Strategic and analytical thinking.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills.
- Enterprise architecture methods, modelling and governance expertise.
- Broad technology, security, DevOps and lifecycle management knowledge.
- Sound risk management, decision-making, coaching and collaboration capability.
