h3Job Description /h3pThe Plant Chemist is accountable for ensuring and improving product quality and production efficiency /ph3Additional Information /h3pThis position is also eligible for premio based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

/ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliThe Plant Chemist is accountable for ensuring and improving product quality and production efficiency under supervision and through /liliMonitors all new production and communicates potential problems to Operations and Control Lab.
/liliEnsures manufacturability through lab batches and following production batches as needed.
/liliIdentifies process and formula changes needed for successful manufacturing of existing formulas.
/liliIdentifies process and quality problems to determine systematic root cause and follows through with corrective action.
/liliCoordinates test batches with production and scheduling.
/liliMaintains local formulas in formulation system.
/liliDrive improvements around primary metric OTMIS, distressed, and recall goals.
/liliLead and or participate in quality investigations to determine root cause.
/liliDevelop standard operating procedures and provide training to QC personnel to ensure procedures are followed.
/liliManages new formula introduction and plant manufacturability acceptance /liliManage in raw material acceptance/rejection based on raw material specification /liliEnsure timely resolution of distressed batches and rework/returned goods.

or Technical /liliFlexible work schedule /liliStrong written and verbal communication skills /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulli5+ years experience /liliSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt /liliPresentations skills /liliResults oriented /liliDemonstrated problem solving, project management, Change Management, Conflict Management, and coaching skills /liliISO knowledge /liliProgram knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access, Minitab, and Business Objects /liliKnowledge of Root Cause investigation and analysis tools /liliSystem knowledge of Watson, MES, Product Vision, Discovery, and MES.
