Hauptaufgaben The incumbent serves as the primary technical coordinator and subject matter specialist for a complex energy plant, overseeing and coordinating both the operational management of the plant and specialized high-level technical/maintenance engineering actions.
The incumbent coordinates these roles in procedural, administrative, and safety domains to ensure seamless integration between the daily production of the energy plant and advanced predictive/corrective maintenance frameworks.
Coordinates the technical workflow and operational synchronization of subordinate teams managing complex Central Energy Plants (CEPs) at Caserma Del Din and Caserma Ederle, including high-pressure steam and superheated water boilers, multi-megawatt gas/fuel oil co-generation units, centrifugal and absorption chillers, cooling towers, and backup generators serving the entire site.
Provides technical leadership and coordination for the integration of automated, semi-automated, and manual operations via microgrid controllers, ensuring a balanced management of co-generators, photovoltaic (PV) systems, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) in order to optimize energy efficiency, load shedding, and island-mode resilience.
Resolves complex operational conflicts between plant management workflows and specialized diagnostic and maintenance engineering protocols.
Ensures that corrective actions, overhauls, load bank tests, and system tuning are performed in strict compliance with engineering specifications and equipment lifecycles.
Evaluates unusual operational failures (e.g., thermal circuit interruptions, compressor anomalies, gas turbine faults, electrical synchronization losses) and dictates immediate corrective strategies, test parameters, and operational authorizations.




Responsibilities include enforcing safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance, overseeing hazardous materials management, and conducting inspections of workplaces, pressure vessels, fuel lines, and high-voltage areas.
Coordinates directly with the safety office and environmental division to eliminate potential fire, explosion, and toxicity risks.
The position also performs technical administration functions such as monitoring work orders, evaluating labor and material costs, coordinating and evaluating contractor performance.
Additionally, the incumbent supports personnel management by contributing to performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, recruitment processes, and workforce development and certification.
NOTE: Regular site visits require standing, climbing, and working in proximity to heavy rotating machinery, high-pressure piping, and high-temperature environments.
Subject to occasional exposure to noise, gas/oil fumes, and outdoor weather conditions during plant inspections and emergency response coordination.
Tour of duty is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from ***** to *****, including a 1-hour uncompensated lunch break.
Qualifikationsanforderungen MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet the qualification requirements in the "Qualification Standards" published by U.S. Office of Personnel Management, as summarized below.
EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of Specialized Experience equivalent to at least the UA-03 grade level.
Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

A Diploma of "Perito Elettrotecnico", "Perito Meccanico" or a diploma in fields related to the position, such as "Elettronica ed Elettrotecnica", "Meccanica, Meccatronica ed Energia", "Manutenzione ed Assistenza Tecnica" is desired.
