Hauptaufgaben Incumbent receives subsistence requisitions from units or cooking staff.
Verifies quantities, condition codes and destination of supplies.
Determines the availability of requested subsistence items.
Enters receipt (NSN' nomenclature series number), quantity requested, into the AFMIS system.
Establishes local assigned NSN's for local purchase items and maintain a computer listing of all NSNs.
Participates in inventories to determine the reasons for overages, shortages or misplaced items.
He/she adjusts prices on shipping documents against current ones.
Incumbent makes corrective entries to various accounts to adjust noted discrepancies.
Prepares and records disposal documents for damaged or deteriorated items upon receipt of the veterinary certificate.
Uses hardware and software components to create, edit, copy, insert, delete, store, retrieve and print a variety of standardized correspondence and documents.
Performs accounts maintenance functions in support of the Troop Issue Subsistence Activity (TISA) and South of the Alps Dining Facility concerned with maintenance of related accounting documents and reports reflecting the transactions performed such as records of receipt, issue, transfer, gains and losses of subsistence items.
Enters and retrieves data using Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS).
Utilizes AFMIS, posting debits and credits, under proper subsection of accounts.
Reviews various transaction documents to ensure completeness of data, accuracy of computations,
and appropriateness of monetary data.
Verifies accounting records for correctness and completeness of data, prices, and totals and assigns voucher numbers.
Reviews invoices and verifies information against source documents and supporting files.
He/she prepares and records veterinary sample credit documents after receipt of the veterinary certificate.
Arranges and coordinates food inspections with the local veterinary office.
Monitors and maintains logs on temperatures within the storage areas.
Prepares a variety of monthly and quarterly reports to include ration return report, troop issue management summary, food cost and feeding strength summary, and a summary of financial transactions for TISA and Dining Facility.
When required, receives and unloads supplies from containers, trucks and freight cars.
Signs for items received.
Conducts periodic inventories of stock on hand.
Notes discrepancies between items in storage and balance reflected on inventory records.
Performs detailed reviews of previously completed supply transactions to ensure reconciliation between issues and receipts and, as necessary, prepares inventory adjustment reports or requests investigations to determine causes of apparent shortages.
Prepares inventory documents and verifies price extensions.
Determines gains and losses on physical inventories and keeps the SSM informed of all transactions.
NOTE: Tour of duty is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from ***** to *****,
including a 1-hour uncompensated lunch break.

Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of General Experience.
General Experience is progressively responsible clerical, office or other work which indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Diploma di maturità or equipollent diploma plus 60 CFU/Diploma di maturità or equipollent diploma plus 1 year of university exams ("Vecchio ordinamento").
