pJoin JMC Group, part of Vection Technologies, and play a key role in driving the selection, evaluation, and procurement of software, SaaS platforms, AI solutions, and digital services across the Group.
Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for identifying the most suitable software solutions, leading commercial negotiations, managing software vendors, and ensuring that technology investments deliver business value while complying with company procurement procedures and governance.
This role combines procurement expertise, software evaluation, supplier management, commercial negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration with a clear objective: optimize software investments, reduce licensing costs, mitigate procurement risks, and support the company's digital transformation initiatives.
/p h3The Role /h3 pAs Software Procurement Specialist, you will act as the central procurement point for software acquisition across the organization.
You will work closely with IT, Engineering, Business Units, Operations, Finance, Legal, and external software vendors to evaluate solutions, manage procurement activities, negotiate commercial agreements, and support software implementation throughout the entire procurement lifecycle.
Beyond purchasing software, you will ensure that every solution is commercially competitive, technically suitable, scalable, compliant with internal standards, and aligned with business objectives.
/p h3Who We Are Looking For /h3 pWe are looking for a structured and analytical professional who can combine procurement discipline with a strong understanding of software, SaaS platforms, AI tools, and digital services.
You should be comfortable evaluating how a software solution works, asking the right technical and commercial questions, and comparing different vendors based on functionality, integration, scalability, cost, risk, and business value.
/p pYou are not expected to be a software developer, but you must be able to understand technical requirements, challenge vendor proposals, coordinate demos and POCs, and support internal stakeholders in selecting the most suitable solution.
You are commercially minded, detail-oriented, and confident in managing negotiations, licensing models, supplier relationships, and procurement procedures in a structured and compliant way.
/p h3What You Will Do /h3 h3Software Sourcing Vendor Management /h3 ul liIdentify, evaluate, and manage software vendors for enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, AI solutions, cloud services, APIs, cybersecurity, and productivity tools.

/li liBuild and maintain long-term strategic relationships with software vendors and partners.
/li liDrive supplier performance, commercial value, and continuous improvement initiatives.
/li /ul h3Software Evaluation Selection /h3 ul liLead software evaluations from requirements definition through final supplier selection.
/li liAssess functional capabilities, technical architecture, scalability, interoperability, licensing models, and total cost of ownership.
/li liSupport stakeholders in selecting the most appropriate software solution based on business and technical requirements.
/li liRecommend technology solutions that align with business objectives, operational needs, and procurement strategy.
/li /ul h3Commercial Procurement /h3 ul liLead RFQs, RFPs, commercial negotiations, and software procurement processes.
/li liNegotiate pricing models, licensing agreements, SaaS subscriptions, licensing structures, maintenance contracts, renewals, and support services.
/li liDeliver measurable cost optimization while maximizing commercial value and supplier performance.
/li /ul h3Procurement Governance Compliance /h3 ul liEnsure all software acquisitions comply with internal procurement policies and approval processes.
/li liCollaborate with Legal, IT Security, and Compliance teams during supplier qualification and contract execution.
/li /ul h3Cross-Functional Coordination /h3 ul liPartner with IT, Engineering, Digital Transformation, Finance, Operations, HR, and business functions to understand software requirements.
/li liTranslate business needs into structured procurement activities.
/li liFacilitate alignment between internal stakeholders and external vendors throughout the procurement lifecycle.
/li /ul h3Vendor Implementation Coordination /h3 ul liCoordinate supplier onboarding and contract execution following vendor selection.
/li liSupport implementation planning and transition from procurement to operational deployment.
/li liEnsure all software acquisitions comply with company procurement procedures, governance policies, and approval workflows.
/li liMaintain procurement documentation, licensing records, and supplier performance metrics.
/li /ul h3What You Need /h3 h3Essential Requirements /h3 ul liExperience within technology, software, AI, digital transformation, or enterprise IT environments.
/li liKnowledge of enterprise software,
SaaS platforms, cloud services, APIs, cybersecurity, software licensing, or software asset management.
/li li3+ years of experience as a Buyer, Procurement Specialist, Strategic Sourcing Specialist, or Vendor Manager.
/li liProven experience evaluating enterprise software, SaaS platforms, cloud services, or AI solutions.
/li liExperience managing RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
/li liStrong understanding of software licensing models, subscription services, and software procurement processes.
/li liAbility to understand software functionality, technical architecture, integrations, and business requirements to support technology evaluation and procurement decisions.
/li liExperience working with cross-functional stakeholders in technology-driven environments.
/li liStrong commercial awareness, analytical thinking, and negotiation skills.
/li liFluent Italian and English.

/li liKnowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, cybersecurity, or software asset management.
