The research activity is framed within the European EcoSentinel project and addresses the electromagnetic modeling and simulation of plant-based wireless communications. The candidate will focus on analyzing signal propagation through vegetation and evaluating the performance of the leaf-integrated antenna.
The research involves analyzing and exploiting data from the dedicated antenna matching sensor integrated into the custom electronic board developed for the EcoSentinel project. Tasks include using electromagnetic simulation software, studying and developing propagation models for inter-plant communication, and calibrating these models against measurements acquired from the project board.
