Overview The Area Sales Manager will drive the growth of our protective coatings portfolio across North Italy (Lombardy, Piemonte, Liguria, and Emilia-Romagna), with full ownership of achieving ambitious revenue targets. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong command of the full sales cycle—from proactive prospecting and strategic relationship-building to effectively closing deals. They will leverage excellent negotiation skills and the ability to communicate our value proposition in a compelling, clear, and professional manner, fostering strong customer partnerships and consistently delivering results. Responsibilities * Promote and sell the Protective Coatings portfolio, aligning solutions with customer needs * Achieve sales targets through proactive business development and effective sales execution * Identify new opportunities and build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders * Plan and execute territory strategies,
adapting based on market feedback and performance * Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction while developing existing accounts * Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, negotiation, and closing * Deliver product demonstrations, proposals, and tailored quotations * Leverage events, trade fairs, and presentations to grow the sales pipeline * Collaborate internally and monitor market trends and competitor activity Qualifications * 3–5 years of sales experience, ideally within the Protective Coatings market in Italy * Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills * Proficient in CRM tools and MS Office * High level of integrity and professionalism * Ability to work effectively from a home office environment * Fluent in Italian (native) and English * Based within the assigned sales territory About Us At Sherwin-Williams, our purpose is to inspire and improve the world by coloring and protecting what matters.
