Take ownership of income reconciliation and financial data integrity in a mission-driven organization with a diverse, international operating environment. In this role, you will oversee high-volume transactions across digital payment platforms, ensuring that income records are accurate, complete, and aligned across accounting and fundraising systems. You will play a key part in maintaining reliable financial reporting, supporting audits, and strengthening internal controls. Working closely with fundraising and finance colleagues, you will help streamline workflows, improve reporting quality, and identify opportunities for automation. This position is well suited to a detail-oriented accounting professional who combines strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to solving problems and improving financial processes. Accountabilities * Income platforms and reconciliation:
Recommend suitable income platforms and payment gateways, including associated workflows, and reconcile donations, grants, and other incoming payments across platforms such as Stripe, PayPal, Global Payments, and BBMS. * Financial records and accounting: Record revenue transactions, payment processing fees, and journal entries accurately and promptly in the accounting system. Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM and ensure that financial data aligns across systems. * Donor reporting: Prepare annual contribution statements for donors and support donor communications, annual reviews, and other assurance activities as required. * Compliance and internal controls: Ensure income records and reconciliation procedures comply with applicable accounting standards, tax rules, statutory requirements, donor obligations, and internal policies. * Audit and financial reporting: Provide supporting documentation and responses fo
