SSC Space Italy is seeking for its client's Satellites Business Unit in Milano or Torino
Requirements
Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience in 3D and 2D modelling (experience with NX software is a plus)
Experience with NX's PCB Exchange design is a plus
Experience in both thermal & structural design (is an advantage)
Minimum 3 years' experience in the mechanical design of mechanical/structural systems (in space field is a plus)
Experience in understanding of materials (metallic and composite), coatings, and adhesives
Experience gathering technical requirements and developing technical specifications and documentations
Experience in relationships with Customers and with Subcontractors and Suppliers during past work
System-oriented thinking and vision
Awareness and sensitivity for cost and schedule impacts

Responsibilities
Collaborate with system engineer (project responsible) for mechanical design requirement definition and discussion
Collaborate with electrical and electronic engineer to define the input for mechanical design
Collaborate with thermal and structural engineers to accommodate complex systems
Create 3D designs for space equipment
Create 2D manufacturing, technical assembly, and ICD drawings, as well as project-level documentation
Optimize equipment mechanical design to improve performance and reliability
Perform fast prototypes for quick validation of design
Specify, select, and acquire necessary components required for mechanical designs
Manage part lists and libraries including standard mechanical and electrical components
