Job purpose:
The Color Design Assistant for Prada Linea Rossa supports the development and application of seasonal color strategies across apparel, accessories, and footwear. The role helps express Prada Linea Rossa’s visual identity through color by contributing to research, color palette development, product proposals, and the creation and maintenance of color standards and documentation. The position offers hands on exposure to the full color design process while collaboratively with teams across the business.
Responsibilities:
• Support the development of seasonal color stories and palettes.
• Research global color trends, cultural influences, and relevant developments in sports performance and technology.
• Engage a foundational understanding of color theory,
tools and market knowledge.
• Create mood boards and develop color palettes and combinations that align with the brand vision.
• Collaborate closely with product designers, material developers, and marketing teams to implement feedback into proposals ensuring clear communication throughout the process.
• Apply the color direction to the product ensuring proposals are tailored to product brief and all artwork and presentations are kept up to date and accurate.
• Engage a multi-disciplinary creative approach to explore and express color direction in both digital and physical forms.
• Participate in the prototyping process, testing colors and providing feedback and adjustments to ensure final products meet design and color standards.
• Maintain the digital and physical color libraries and direction documentation.
• Stay informed about the latest innovations in color materials and technologies
