About Us
Generative Bionics is a deep-tech company building humanoid robot platforms to deploy human centered Physical AI. We design intelligent, capable machines that work alongside people in real-world environments — developed in Genova, Italy. Role We are building a software infrastructure team to make our humanoid robot platform reliable, integrated, observable, and deployable as it evolves from research and prototypes into a real product.
We are looking for a Robotics Software Architect to define and evolve the technical foundations that connect the robot's software components: real-time control, device drivers, sensing, AI and autonomy applications, simulation, data collection, testing, and deployment. You will work across teams to turn system-level needs into clear architectural choices, practical interfaces, and devel opment workflows that enable engineers to move quickly without compromising reliability. This is a hands-on architecture role.
You will be expected to understand the behavior of software on real robots, work closely with engineers in the lab,
and help ensure that the systems we build can be operated, diagnosed, updated, and supported outside a purely experimental environment.
Responsibilities
Define and maintain the software architecture for the humanoid platform, including component boundaries, interfaces, dependencies, lifecycle management, and system-wide communication patterns; Lead the technical design of the infrastructure that integrates control, sensing, actuation, AI, teleoperation, simulation, logging, diagnostics, and user-facing applications; Establish pragmatic engineering standards for APIs, configuration, versioning, observability, testing, release management, and documentation; Partner with robotics, controls, AI, electronics, and mechanical teams to ensure that the software architecture reflects the constraints and behavior of the physical system; Support technical decision-making through design reviews, prototypes, and evidenc
