Offer Description The statistical literature investigates estimators based on non-probability samples under a set of highly restrictive “standard” conditions, which are rarely met in real-world applications.

The project aims to develop new estimators and new methods for assessing sampling error when these standard conditions do not hold.
The postdoctoral researcher’s work will involve both theoretical research, focusing on the properties—particularly the asymptotic properties—of the proposed estimators, and simulation-based investigations. The position therefore requires both advanced theoretical skills and strong expertise in simulation methods.
Subject to data availability, empirical applications will also be developed, with a particular focus on the study of poverty using deprivation indicators.
