PJoin a growing luxury cruise organization as it expands its fleet to meet its growing fleet! This is a great opportunity to lead the newbuild and commissioning process within the engineering space. /p pBased in Ancona, Italy. /p h3Overview: /h3 pReporting to the Site Team Manager; Newbuild and Commissioning, this position is in charge of the Owner’s supervision of the shipyard, contractors/suppliers and quality of all commissioned deliverables related to Machinery and Engineering equipment, systems and installations. /p h3Requirements: /h3 ul liBachelor of Science in Marine and/or technical Engineering (Chief Engineer STCW code unlimited power) /li liCruise industry experience /li liMinimum of 5 years onboard as Engineer on a diesel electric propulsion Cruise vessel /li liMinimum of 5 years experience Shoreside as superintendent/inspector or similar Cruise vessel newbuild and operations experience /li liUSPH standards knowledge /li liUSCG and Port State Control Standards knowledge /li liExperience/understanding of Classification rules regulations USPH and all relevant regulations relating to vessel newbuilding and operations requirements /li liSkilled in reading, reviewing and commenting on detailed design, calculations that support engineering system dimensioning,
technical documentation and drawings /li liFAT (Factory Assessment Testing) experience /li liHarbor Acceptance Testing experience /li /ul h3Key Responsibilities: /h3 ul liDeep expertise within Shipyard Machinery and Engineering equipment, systems, installation and commissioning /li liShipyard relationship management /li liMonitoring of shipyard deliverables and assessing quality and accuracy of work /li liContract and Supplier management; Quality Control /li liExperience managing systems, installations, safety awareness of equipment and system design, associated technical systems related to guests. /li liWorking with main engines, all primary systems related to ship movement, stabilization and steering /li liBoilers, economizers, incinerators, wastewater systems, cooling water systems, pumps and plumbing systems, /li liFuel and lube oil systems /li liUREA and SCR systems /li liHydraulic systems /li liVentilation and exhaust systems /li /ul pNew Build Experience is a definite asset. /p pYou will be working between shipyards and the new build.
