pLocation: Verona VA /p pThe Utility Maintenance Tech will verify all utilities including fluid coolers, boilers, chillers, air units, refrigeration units and others are in spec and operating properly. They will also conduct preventive maintenance on all utility equipment as needed. /p p$36/hour base pay (based on experience) /p pLocation: Verona VA /p pThe Utility Maintenance Tech will verify all utilities including fluid coolers, boilers, chillers, air units, refrigeration units and others are in spec and operating properly. They will also conduct preventive maintenance on all utility equipment as needed. /p h3Essential Duties /h3 ul liTesting Water Samples to ensure the chemical make-up is in spec and making changes as needed. /li liCheck all Utility equipment for pump, seal or motor failures and render maintenance where necessary. /li liWork with our Glycol heat transfer system; Maintain and check for system issues. /li liMaintain Trane Chiller Units; keep within temperature parameters. /li liMaintain Air Handler Systems, maintain the unit’s components to ensure they are always operational. /li liMaintaining fluid cooling towers; ensure flow levels, temperature and sump levels stay in spec. /li liMaintain our steam system including the boiler, DA Tank, condensate return pumps, and verify they are always operational. /li liRegular and reliable attendance. /li liOther duties and responsibilities as assigned /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liHigh school diploma or GED preferred /li li2-5 years of experience in refrigeration, HVAC or boiler systems ideally in a manufacturing setting /li liFreon Universal, HVAC certifications preferred /li liWorking knowledge of steam and pressure systems /li liForklift/Scissor Lift certified or willing to become certified /li liAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals /li liFluency in English; speak,



read and write /li liSelf-Driven and motivated to grow /li liAbility to work in cold and wet environment for prolonged periods of time /li liMust be able to work in various temperature-controlled zones ranging from cold to hot /li liAbility to operate equipment at recommended speeds and communicate mechanical and operational defects as they arise. /li liMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, nights, weekends and holidays /li /ul h3Physical Demands /h3 ul liRegularly stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms /li liRegularly stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl /li liRegularly taste or smell product /li liOccasionally sit and occasionally climb ladders or work on a platform /li liFrequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds /li liOccasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. /li liMust be able to frequently reach up to 31-77 inches. /li /ul h3Corporate Summary /h3 pAt Shamrock Foods Company, people come first- our associates, our customers, and the families we serve across the nation.
