pbRef: /b RT-04-MO /p h3Role Overview /h3 pThis role exists to turn process ideas into processes that hold: it owns the steps that take a Dynamic DropTM recipe from a promising result to something repeatable on a partner's substrate.
Sample preparation, wet and electrochemical processing, sample post-processing, inspection and metrology are the daily toolset.
It is for an engineer who already knows their way around a lab and wants to own processes rather than execute them.
/p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul libOwn process steps end to end.
/b Sample preparation, wet and electrochemical processes, sample post-processing, inspection and metrology tools: you set the parameters, define the process window, and are the reference for all of them.
/li libDesign experiments, not just run them.
/b Build the test matrix and size it so the outcome will actually be conclusive — DoE and applied statistics rather than one factor at a time.
/li libFind root causes.
/b When yield drops or a dimension drifts, take the problem apart methodically — data, equipment, material, method — instead of changing three things at once.
/li libTurn results into standards.
/b Write the procedures and best-known methods that keep a process alive when you are not in the room.
/li libOwn the equipment and what it costs.
/b Qualification, maintenance planning and acceptance of new tools; the technical dialogue with suppliers; and the case for the tooling and consumables your processes need, inside the budget agreed.
/li libWork across the lab.
/b With electronics, chemistry, mechanics and production, so that a process that works on a sample also works on a product.
/li libBring the junior engineer and the technician up.
/b Not a formal management line, the practical kind: at the bench, on the numbers, on the reasoning.
/li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul libDegree in Materials Science, Materials or Mechanical Engineering, /b or a closely related technical field.
/li lib3 to 7 years hands-on /b in a lab, pilot line or process production environment.
/li libRegular cleanroom experience, /b and at least one process you can honestly say you owned.
/li libSemiconductor process familiarity from direct experience: /b electrochemical deposition and plating are the closest fit; thin films, microfabrication, laser processing and advanced packaging are close enough.
/li libData skill you can defend: /b distributions, variability, capability, DoE, in Python, R, JMP or Minitab.
/li libFluent English, written and spoken.
/b Italian is a plus.
/li libJudgment about safety: /b chemicals, lasers and cleanroom discipline are not negotiable.
/li /ul h3Who you are /h3 ul libHands-on, genuinely.
/b This role does not delegate the bench work away; you keep doing it.
/li libPrecision and traceability.
/b Your results are reproducible by someone else, because your record is good enough for them to follow.
/li libCuriosity and initiative.
/b You go and look.
You propose the experiment before it is asked of you.
/li libClear technical writing.
/b An unreadable report is a result that does not exist.
/li libDirectness.
/b Small team, short cycles, visible mistakes.
We value people who say what they think early and change their mind when the data says so.
/li libOpen mindset.
/b You are not afraid to challenge assumptions, and you want to contribute to advancing the state of the art.
/li /ul h3Why Join Us /h3 pYour process work ships inside a product rather than ending in a report, and the scope grows as the line and the team grow.
/p h3Being honest about the job /h3 pYou will spend a significant part of your week gowned and standing, and the work alternates between the interesting problem and the careful repetition that makes the interesting problem solvable.
The team is small: there is no layer between you and the decision — and none between you and the consequence either.
