Role Description

The Bartender is a seasonal full-time, on-site role. This position is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, following standard recipes and responsible service guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include greeting guests, taking drink orders, providing recommendations, handling cash and electronic payments, and maintaining accurate tabs. The Bartender will set up and restock the bar, ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area, and support basic food service when required. The role also involves collaborating with the front-of-house team,



monitoring guest satisfaction, and adhering to all safety, hygiene, and legal regulations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to engage guests professionally and resolve issues effectively.
- Candidates should possess Bartending and Food & Beverage skills, including knowledge of drink preparation, menu items, and responsible alcohol service.
- Candidates should possess Cash Handling skills, with accuracy in processing payments, managing tabs, and reconciling transactions.
- Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of local and international beverages, cocktails, and bar equipment is an advantage.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Basic proficiency in relevant languages used in Messina’s service environment; additional language skills are a plus.
