Job Description
- Maintenance and Operation: Supervise and participate in the maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems onboard, ensuring they are operational and meet safety and environmental standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Implement and monitor compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Conduct regular inspections and drills, ensuring all engineering practices adhere to international maritime laws and conventions.
- Emergency Response: Act as a key member of the emergency response team, ready to manage or support engineering-related incidents onboard.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of engineering department activities, including but not limited to maintenance and repair logs, inventory of spare parts and supplies, and fuel and oil consumption.
- Team Management: Assist in leading and managing the engineering team, promoting a culture of safety and excellence. Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and engine room crew.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief Engineer and other department heads to ensure the vessel's operational efficiency. Participate in planning and executing onboard operations, including loading, discharging, and maneuvering.
- Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to the vessel's crew, ensuring all onboard operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

Requirements
- STCW III/2 CoC
- Italian endorsement
- Seaman's Book
- Good knowledge of Italian language
- Excellent English knowledge
- COVID-19 vaccination
