Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Quality Control Supervisor to lead a pharmaceutical QC laboratory team in Italy. The role combines technical oversight of analytical testing with team leadership, ensuring cGMP compliance and customer satisfaction across raw material and finished product testing.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop QC team members while aligning operations with site and company objectives
Oversee analytical testing activities, troubleshooting, and technical interpretation across multiple methods
Coordinate laboratory workload, scheduling, resource allocation, and turnaround time management
Identify operational risks and drive problem-solving; support customer audits and regulatory inspections
Review quality metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and maintain data integrity standards




Requirements
Advanced degree plus 3+ years QC experience, or bachelor's degree plus 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotechnology QC
Minimum 2 years team leadership or supervisory experience
Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related scientific field
Expertise in cGMP, FDA regulations, ICH guidelines, quality systems, and data integrity
Hands-on knowledge of HPLC, GC, dissolution testing, and laboratory instrumentation
Proficiency with LIMS, quality management systems, and Microsoft Office
Strong investigation, root cause analysis, and regulatory audit support capabilities
