Ekkiden is an international consulting group founded in 2019, bringing together an ecosystem of passionate and committed consultants who lead organizational, operational, and technological transformation projects across IT/Digital, Industry/R&D, and Sustainability for large enterprises and SMEs in France, Switzerland, Spain, and Germany.The Role:We are looking for an experienced Network Administrator to join a team of 4-5 engineers supporting the network infrastructure of an international organisation on a long-term project. The role is based in Rome, Italy, so candidates must live in or near Rome, or be willing to relocate.You will keep a complex, multi-tenant network running smoothly and securely, from day-to-day operations to onboarding new services, always with a security-first approach.Responsibilities:Configure and support Cisco infrastructure (Nexus and Catalyst switches, routers)Administer firewalls, including Cisco Firepower and F5 BIG-IP AFMConfigure and manage F5 load balancersAdminister Cisco Meraki solutions (switching, wireless and security)Set up and maintain site-to-site IPsec VPN tunnelsMonitor WAN usage and performance, and troubleshoot network issuesProvide first and second-level support, coordinating with vendors when neededReview logs and alerts, and take corrective actionKeep technical documentation and configuration templates up to dateTake part in the on-call/standby rotaContribute to network security projects: review vulnerability and risk reports, and implement controlsWork with IT, business and cybersecurity teams to turn requirements into secure technical solutionsAutomate recurring tasks with scripting and automation toolsWhat We’re Looking For:5+ years of experience as a Network Administrator or Network EngineerStrong hands-on experience with Cisco switching and routingHands-on experience with Cisco MerakiProven experience with F5 load balancersStrong experience with Cisco Firepower and F5 AFM firewallsSolid knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF and BGPGood understanding of cloud networking,
