Overview
In this role you will architect, design and sustain embedded firmware that powers Dematic's automated systems. You will work within cross-functional teams to align hardware and software, incorporating cybersecurity requirements and continuous improvement. You'll analyze issues, develop tools and documentation, and collaborate with departments such as Commissioning and Manufacturing. The position offers hands-on work with electronics boards, debugging, and qualification for series production in a global automation context. This is a chance to contribute to scalable, high‐reliability embedded solutions at Dematic.
Responsabilità
- Architect and develop embedded firmware and sustain lifecycle of embedded products
- Ensure cybersecurity requirements are met and support continuous improvement
- Diagnose and fix bugs across HW/FW, provide training as needed
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Commissioning, Manufacturing)




- Develop technical documentation according to standards
- Analyse functional issues or performance with FW/HW in test environments
- Construct automatic functional test tools
- Support hardware definition for series production

Requisiti fondamentali
- Degree or Master Degree in electronic, automation engineering (or similar)
- Experience writing embedded firmware in C and bare-metal programming
- Experience with USB, UART, SPI, I2C bus protocols
- Ability to debug HW and FW using diverse tools and techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter)
- Good knowledge of Italian and English (written and spoken)
