Job Description SummaryThis role is responsible for providing dedicated support for repair and engineering processes, ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout the lifecycle of the product. The Process Quality Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Quality Control and Assurance practices within the repair shop, with a specific focus on rigorous testing phases. This role involves close collaboration with both internal and external testing benches to ensure excellence, reliability, and strict adherence to technical specifications. Roles and Responsibilities
- Quality control: Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control processes for gas turbine engine repairs, ensuring total compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Testing Oversight: Lead the quality oversight of testing activities, ensuring technical rigor during final testing phases post-repair.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external testing benches, ensuring testing protocols are followed and results meet defined quality benchmarks.
- Customer Quality Management: Act as a key interface for customers regarding quality performance.
- Manage the response process for escapes and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely resolution and proactive communication.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key quality KPIs and customer satisfaction metrics. Implement improvement plans to address performance gaps and sustain high levels of service quality.
- Develop process improvement plans using Quality and Continuous Process Improvement tools (e.g., 5S, 8D, engineering studies, Gauge R&R;).
- Lead investigations into quality issues and customer complaints, identifying root causes via formal RCA methodologies and driving effective CAPAs.
