We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Body Chief Engineer to provide high-quality technical support to our customers in vehicle integration, quality and troubleshooting activities.
- Lead and coordinate designers, technical specialists, and suppliers in the development of Body systems, ensuring the optimal balance between styling intent, technical requirements, feasibility, cost, weight, quality, and timing.
- Drive the development and technical integration of Body-in-White (BIW), closures, exterior trim, and lighting components, from concept definition through design maturity, validation, and final technical approval.
- Ensure the effective application of GD&T;, dimensional management, and tolerance stack-up methodologies to achieve dimensional accuracy, product quality, manufacturing feasibility, and optimal assembly performance.
- Collaborate on sourcing activities, technical reviews, supplier selection, co-design,
and resolution of critical technical issues.
- Assess manufacturing feasibility and ensure product integration with body manufacturing processes, including stamping, welding, hemming, joining, painting interfaces, and final assembly.
- Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, product data sheets, engineering standards, validation plans, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to FMEA activities, design reviews, virtual and physical validation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Define project scope, milestones, timing, and deliverables in alignment with overall program objectives.
- Act as the key interface between Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, and external suppliers, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment.
- Identify and manage t
