The laboratory features Scanning Tunneling Microscopy, Auger Electron Spectroscopy, Low-Energy Electron Diffraction and (Organic) Molecular Beam Epitaxy in a UHV environment. Furthermore, a magneto-optical system (to study both linear and non linear effects) is available. The Main Scientific Activity Of The Lab Includes Investigating * spinterfaces between organic (molecular layers and chiral molecules)

and inorganic (both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic) materials; * single rare earth atoms embedded in ultrathin oxide matrices; * 2D magnetic materials grown in situ.
