Overview
You will shape the design and evolution of our insurance platforms while staying hands-on. Collaborating with Product Owners, Delivery Managers and senior tech peers, you translate requirements into robust Java solutions and tackle complex technical issues. You help define engineering best practices and architectural direction, aligning delivery with secure, reliable releases.
This role offers growth from development to architecture, with exposure to containers, CI/CD, and observability in a cross-functional, international setting. You will impact the platform's scalability and maintainability while mentoring others and shaping technical choices.

Responsabilità
- Design, develop and prototype Java/JavaEE solutions across the application stack
- Analyze functional requirements and translate them into practical technical designs
- Investigate and resolve complex application, integration and performance issues
- Contribute to technical choices, integration patterns and the progressive evolution of the platform architecture
- Support development teams through code reviews, troubleshooting and the definition of engineering best practices
- Work with containerised environments,
CI/CD pipelines and observability tooling throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Collaborate with Product, Delivery and IT teams to support secure, reliable and maintainable releases
Requisiti fondamentali
- 4+ years of hands-on Java/JavaEE development
- Experience delivering and supporting complex enterprise applications
- Exposure to technical design, solution definition or mentoring; formal architect experience not required
- Experience in structured environments; knowledge of insurance or banking advantageous
- Strong knowledge of Java/JavaEE, Maven, REST APIs, web services and application integrations
- Frontend exposure, particularly Angular
- Docker, Docker Compose and containerised environments; Kubernetes and Helm
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins and/or GitLab CI); observability systems (OpenTelemetry or similar)
- SQL databases; Git and collaborative development workflows
- Familiarity with app servers, middleware, messaging or caching; useful but not essential knowledge of cloud, Kafka, NoSQL or security-by-design
- Strong curiosity and ability to learn new tools quickly
- Italian language for day-to-day collaboration; good professional English
