About the rolethe front office subject matter expert (sme) is an experienced individual contributor in the sme team. the role owns one or two asset classes and ensures that the behavox financial data model (bfdm) and the unified risk taxonomy (urt) accurately reflect trading desks, venues and regulations.typical background5+ years in a front‑office role in market surveillance, exchange, trading venue, market‑data provider or trading‑technology vendor.hands‑on experience with asset‑class data, market‑abuse typologies and regulatory frameworks (e.g., mar, mifidii, cftc, sec).experience with ai‑native, agentic workflows and git‑based versioning is a strong plus.
what you’ll bring
- practitioner‑level knowledge of at least one asset class (commodities, digital assets, fixed income, equities, fx, etc.).
- understanding of front‑office workflows, order handling, quoting and hedging.
- knowledge of market‑abuse behaviours (insider dealing, spoofing, layering, wash‑trading, front‑running, benchmark manipulation).
- familiarity with structured data modelling, schemas, validation rules and versioning.
what you’ll do
- define bfdm fields, schemas and validation rules for owned asset classes and verify data outputs.
- translate market‑abuse typologies into polaris risk scenarios linked to regulatory cases.
- maintain the risk taxonomy, mapping asset classes to urt risk situations and regulatory requirements.
- support client meetings, demos and rfps together with the revenue team, providing front‑office data expertise.
- write clear specifications for agent‑based pipelines, review and validate their outputs, and contribute changes via gitlab.
