Aether offers a comprehensive range of services for asset managers, covering the administration of funds and securitisation vehicles, governance, reporting, risk management, regulatory compliance and the operational monitoring of investments.
To support its growth and strengthen its in-house legal team, Aether is seeking a Legal Counsel with 2 to 3 years' experience to join its Milan office on a permanent contract. Working closely with the operational teams, you will handle the legal issues that arise during the set-up and throughout the life of the financial transactions in which Aether acts as agent.
Your main responsibilities will include: Managing the day-to-day legal affairs of Aether's operations, liaising with internal stakeholders (operational teams, management) and external parties (banks, law firms, investors, clients)
• Reviewing, analysing,
drafting and negotiating financing and security documents for transactions in which Aether Financial Services acts as agent
• Managing and monitoring the processes for general meetings of holders of financial instruments
• Contributing to legal and regulatory analysis of Aether' activities, monitoring developments in these areas and reporting findings and identified issues to your line manager
• Handling corporate matters for Aether Financial Services, including company secretarial work
• Taking part in cross-functional projects across the company. These responsibilities may evolve as Aether's activities develop.
YOUR PROFILE
Expertise A Master's degree in banking and/or financial law; At least 2 years' experience in specialist law firms (LBO, infrastructure or structured finance, capital markets), banks (agency), advisory firms (corporate finance, debt advisory) or investment firms (debt funds); Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Fluency in English, Italian or Spanish; Any additional language would be an advantage.
