HV System Failure Management

Design Consulting is looking for an engineer to support failure analysis, issue resolution and project planning for high-voltage electric powertrain systems in the automotive sector. Location: Near Bologna, Italy, with availability for occasional short business trips. Key responsibilities * Investigate field-returned components and analyse quality claims to identify recurring failures and root causes. * Coordinate corrective actions with engineering, manufacturing, quality, aftersales and suppliers. * Prepare product FMEAs and support technical risk assessments. * Develop and maintain project plans for eDrive and HV battery systems. * Monitor milestones, deliverables, KPIs, schedules and cost targets. * Track engineering changes and assess their impact on timing, costs and system integration. Requirements * Degree in Electrical, Mechanical,



Automotive Engineering or a related discipline. * At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within automotive quality, reliability, product engineering or field claim management. * Knowledge of HV batteries, inverters and electric motors/eDrive systems. * Experience in failure investigation and structured problem-solving methods: 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys and FMEA. * Mandatory PES/PAV electrical safety training. * Strong project planning skills using MS Project, cPlace or equivalent tools. * Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Agile methodologies. * Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and suppliers. * Fluent Italian and English; German is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
