Responsibilities

Design of Wiring Systems

Creates schematics and 2D/3D layouts of wiring harnesses.

Defines how electrical signals and power are routed between components (ECUs, sensors, actuators, HMIs, etc.).

Ensures correct wire types, sizes, shielding, and insulation.

Must have

Understanding of: Voltage, current,



power distributionSignal types (analog, digital, high-speed data like Ethernet)Ability to: Calculate wire sizing and voltage drop o Ensure correct fusing and protection conceptsKnowledge of: Vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) o General requirementSolid understanding of: o Electrical fundamentals (voltage, xkiyazw current, power) o Wiring systems and circuit designKnowledge of: Vehicle communication systems (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)Power distribution concepts (fusing, grounding)Basic understanding of: EMC/EMI principlesSignal integrity (especially for ADAS / HPC)
