Overview In this role you’ll support our largest customers, focusing on MongoDB and Atlas performance within a hybrid Milan setup. You’ll solve complex problems across architecture, performance, and reliability while collaborating with product and development teams. You’ll also help scale internal tools, share knowledge with peers, and contribute to client-facing outcomes that drive adoption of our cloud and on-premise solutions.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role with a strong emphasis on diagnostics and collaboration.

Responsabilità

- Advise customers on architecture, performance, recovery, security, and best practices for MongoDB at scale
- Focus on Atlas performance and related cloud platform improvements
- Interact with product management and development teams to advocate for customer needs
- Develop and improve internal tools for performance benchmarking and diagnostics
- Document solutions in the knowledge base to improve team and customer efficiency




- Support frontend and backend developers in building applications on the MongoDB platform
- Share technical knowledge through training sessions and peer coaching
- Handle technical escalations and contribute to mentoring initiatives

Requisiti fondamentali

- 3–4 years in technical support, solutions support, or customer-facing engineering
- Experience with distributed systems and database architecture
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting skills across application, database, and storage layers
- Linux system administration, performance tuning, security, networking, and clustering
- Ability to read code and script in one or more languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, Go)
- Strong networking knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS)
- Storage engineering experience (NAS, RAID, SAN, SSD, caching)
- Familiarity with cloud services and serverless concepts (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
- Italian and English written and verbal communication skills
