pSenior Data Product Manager - Data Foundations Job Description Senior Data Product Manager - Data Foundations Job Location: San Giovanni Valdarno Division: Software Work Model: Hybrid Full-Time/Part-Time: Full Time Contract Type: Permanent Job Req ID: 1921 As Senior Data Product Manager - Data Foundations, you will shape the foundations of ABB E-mobility's data strategy by ensuring that critical business data is defined, captured and managed correctly at the source. Acting as the bridge between business, IT and our federated data community, you will drive the creation of trusted, scalable data products that enable better decision-making, stronger governance and long-term business value across the organization. /p h3Your Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead the definition and delivery of foundational data products, establishing key dimensions of the company data model and ensuring trusted, scalable and business-ready data is available across the organization. /li liRepresent the data community in business and IT transformation initiatives, influencing how data is modeled, captured and managed within operational systems and redesigned business processes. /li liDrive data quality ownership across business functions, ensuring accountability is clearly defined, monitoring capabilities are in place and data quality issues are proactively addressed at the source. /li liTranslate business and process changes into actionable data initiatives, identifying impacts on data models, governance, integrations, quality monitoring and data products while coordinating priorities, timelines and dependencies across teams. /li liAct as the key business-to-data translator, supporting functional teams in turning business requirements into data products, models, priorities and implementation plans that create measurable business value. /li liCollaborate across a federated data organization, aligning stakeholders from business, IT and functional data teams, driving consensus and delivering outcomes through influence rather than formal authority. /li liContribute to the evolution of data governance practices, including ownership frameworks, business definitions, data contracts and operating models that promote consistency, transparency and accountability. /li liPartner closely with engineers, architects and analytics teams, challenging data models, supporting design decisions and ensuring that data products are aligned with both business objectives and technical best practices.



/li /ul h3Your Background /h3 ul lip6+ years of experience in Data Product Management, Data Strategy, Data Consulting, Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, Data Business Partnering or similar roles operating at the intersection of business, technology and data. /p /li lipProven ability to drive data initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups, with extensive experience influencing business and IT decisions, facilitating alignment and delivering results in complex organizational environments. /p /li lipStrong experience shaping how data is captured within operational systems such as ERP, CRM or other enterprise platforms, including participation in process redesign and transformation programs. /p /li lipSolid understanding of data modeling principles, with the ability to review, challenge and influence data structures, business concepts and data architecture decisions, even without being the hands‑on builder. /p /li lipExperience in data governance, data quality and data ownership frameworks, with a clear understanding of how trusted data is created, maintained and governed at scale. /p /li lipExcellent discovery, problem‑framing and prioritization skills, combined with strong business acumen and the ability to identify and articulate how data creates measurable business value. /p /li lipHands‑on analytical capability and fluency in SQL, supported by excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills in English, enabling effective interaction with technical and non-technical audiences alike. /p /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul lipExperience working within a Data Mesh or federated data model organization. /p /li lipFamiliarity with modern cloud data platforms and analytics ecosystems such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Explorer (ADX), Azure DevOps, Grafana, Power BI, SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). /p /li lipExperience collaborating closely with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Architects and Product teams in fast-growing, transformation-driven environments.
