Opportunity Overview * Valve Technician * 100% Travel * Contract, short-term, 4 to 6 weeks, ranging 40-72 hours per week * Contractors may be offered more than one short-term assignment Your Day-to-Day * Report to the On-Site Manager. * Install, repair, replace, and conduct post-maintenance functional testing, diagnostics, and calibration of valves and control devices. * Test and calibrate instrumentation. * Inspect and troubleshoot. * Perform leak testing, valve adjustments, and alignment checks using appropriate gauges and tools. * Support field troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and continuous improvement plans.
* Complete work orders with accurate documentation of tasks and daily field activity logs. * Ensure safety of self and team and prevent damage to plant equipment. * Follow Quality standards and procedural guidelines set by the customer. * Comply with work hour requirements and observe Quality, Radiological, Human Performance, and other nuclear program norms. * Use appropriate PPE, including respirators, fall protection, safety glasses, and hard hats. * Follow lockout/tag out requirements. * Perform tasks in confined spaces, high-temperature areas, and elevated heights. * Physical demands include tasks such as climbing, lifting (up to 100 lbs.), prolonged standing, bending, visual acuity, balance, manual dexterity, and hearing. * Maintain focus for extended periods and read/write complex documents in English. * Willingness to work overtime, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
