Overview
In this role you will shape ABB Robotics' global License Management and Software Asset Management strategy, governance, and operations. You will lead the software license lifecycle, optimise usage, and ensure compliance across the organisation. You’ll manage vendor relationships, drive data quality in SAM tools, and collaborate with IS, Sourcing, Legal, and Finance to embed best practices. This is a strategic, high-impact role with global reach and opportunities to influence governance and continuous improvement.
Responsabilità
- Define and drive the global License Management strategy, governance framework, policies, controls and processes
- Lead end-to-end software licence lifecycle and optimisation (entitlements, usage, demand, renewals)
- Own licence compliance and audit readiness (reconciliations, risk, remediation)
- Manage licensing relationships with key software vendors; support renewals and licensing term interpretation with Sourcing, Legal and Vendor Management
- Ensure quality and effective use of License Management tools and data (ServiceNow SAM Pro or equivalent)
- Partner with IS,
Sourcing, Legal, Finance and business stakeholders to embed license management practices
- Develop licensing strategies aligned with business goals; monitor licensing/regulatory developments; drive continuous improvement and handle escalations
Requisiti fondamentali
- 7+ years in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, software licensing, or IT/IS Vendor Management in global environments
- Strong knowledge of software licensing models, optimisation, compliance and vendor audits
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro or comparable platform
- Experience with major software publishers and complex enterprise licensing models
- CSAM, ServiceNow CIS-SAM/ITAM or relevant certifications are an advantage
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills
