Leica Biosystems seeks a Field Service Engineer to provide technical support and maintenance for advanced staining diagnostic equipment at customer sites in Italy. The role involves installation, repair, troubleshooting, and documentation while ensuring compliance with ISO and FDA standards.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, modify, and repair advanced staining instruments at customer facilities
Communicate with internal teams and external customers to meet service expectations within established timelines
Complete service documentation and administrative tasks per ISO, FDA, and company policies
Apply technical service bulletins and equipment updates in the field
Support service contract sales and provide input on revenue-generating opportunities




Requirements
Technical high school diploma in mechanics, electrical, or electronics
Minimum 3 years field service experience in biomedical/diagnostic equipment
Fluent English, written and spoken
Advanced IT skills for computer-based laboratory equipment
Knowledge of compliance and ISO/FDA requirements
Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 80%)
Experience in anatomical pathology preferred
Compensation:
€41,333–€48,667 gross annual salary; plus 5% base salary premio/incentive pay eligible
