We are seeking an Associate Planning Manager to be responsible for a small organization or single site. As the Associate Planning Manager, you will optimize planning processes to support delivery, production, and financial (inventory) goals and work with various internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and implement improvements.
How You'll Make An Impact
- May direct and coach the Planning and/or Scheduling team at a manufacturing facility focused on day-to-day or tactical tasks
- Provide input to the creation of a strategic roadmap and be responsible for execution
- Optimize planning processes to support delivery, production, and financial (inventory) goals
- Work with various internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and implement improvements
- Provide direction, delegate and remove obstacles to accomplish goals
- Ensure adequate coverage of the department and backup coverage
- Conduct onboarding and cross-training for team members
- Provide support as needed to other plants and/or planning teams
- Foster a collaborative work environment
- Other areas of responsibility could include, but are not limited to, one or more of the following:
- Sourcing and purchasing goods and services
- Vendor approval
- Purchase order authorization
- Ensuring adherence to the production schedule
- Identifying/correcting potential production problems
- Order level service
