Role Overview

We are seeking a Satellite / Operations Manager to oversee modular assembly, structural frame builds, service installation and day-to-day operations associated with a major data centre construction project in Milan.

The successful candidate will coordinate operational activities across satellite facilities and offsite assembly areas, ensuring components are manufactured or assembled to the required standards and delivered to site in line with the overall construction programme.

This role is particularly suited to candidates with experience in modular construction, prefabrication, industrial operations, manufacturing, logistics or offsite MEP assembly.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of satellite facilities, modular assembly areas and associated operational teams.
- Coordinate structural frame builds, modular installation preparation and the integration of building services.
- Plan labour, equipment, materials and production activities to meet project requirements.
- Ensure modules, frames and prefabricated service assemblies are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the main construction site to align offsite production, delivery schedules and installation sequences.
- Manage material flow,



inventory, storage, transportation and logistical requirements.
- Monitor operational performance, productivity, resource utilisation and delivery milestones.
- Implement processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste and minimise delays.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, quality controls and environmental requirements.
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, construction and quality teams to resolve operational challenges.

Candidate Requirements

- Proven experience in operations management, modular construction, manufacturing, prefabrication or industrial project delivery.
- Experience managing assembly facilities, production operations, logistics or offsite construction activities.
- Exposure to data centre construction, MEP prefabrication, modular infrastructure or mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.
- Understanding of structural assembly, installation sequencing, material management and production planning.
- Experience leading teams and coordinating resources across multiple operational workstreams.
- Strong organisational, leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work to strict project schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Professional working proficiency in English; Italian would be advantageous.
