Overview

Octave is seeking an Account Manager to join our team based in Milan, Italy.

At Octave, we develop industry-leading software solutions that help customers design, build, and operate the world’s infrastructure more efficiently. Our solutions support professionals across sectors including engineering, construction, manufacturing, government, utilities, geospatial, and public administration.

As an Account Manager, you will join an established and successful sales team, responsible for developing and managing strategic customer relationships while driving revenue growth across your territory. You will collaborate closely with Pre-Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Professional Services teams to deliver value-based solutions that address customer challenges and business objectives.

You will have experience selling enterprise software through a consultative sales approach and be comfortable engaging with both commercial and public sector organisations. Experience working with engineering, infrastructure, geospatial, construction, or technology solutions is highly desirable.





This role is based in Milan with some occasional travel across Italy.

Responsibilities

You will...

• Build and develop long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and executive-level decision-makers.
• Identify customer challenges and align Octave solutions to business outcomes.
• Lead commercial discussions, including contract negotiations, pricing, procurement, and legal reviews.
• Manage complex sales cycles across multiple stakeholders and departments.
• Develop a strong understanding of Octave's software portfolio and value proposition.
• Create and execute strategic account plans to drive growth and customer retention.
• Sell solutions using a consultative, value-based approach.
• Understand customer budgeting processes, funding cycles, and procurement requirements.
• Develop opportunities within both private and public
