We are looking for a Certification Engineer with experience in the aerospace industry to support and manage ETSO (European Technical Standard Order) certification activities for aircraft seats within a Part-21 approved organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with the engineering team and regulatory authorities to ensure full compliance with applicable certification requirements and airworthiness standards.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate ETSO C127/C39 certification processes for aircraft seats.
- Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation and compliance records in accordance with Part-21 requirements.
- Liaise with aviation authorities, such as EASA, and internal and external stakeholders throughout the certification process.
- Support certification testing activities, including dynamic, static, and flammability tests.
- Analyse applicable regulatory requirements, including ETSO, CS-25, and CS-23, and ensure their correct implementation.
- Collaborate with the ADOA (Alternative Design Organisation Approval) function on design approval activities.
- Support the preparation of certification plans, compliance documentation, and technical evidence required to demonstrate conformity with applicable airworthiness requirements.
Your Profile
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of Part-21 regulations, ETSO requirements, and CS-25/CS-23 certification specifications.
- Experience working within an ADOA, DOA, or EASA-approved organisation.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to technical documentation and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specific experience with aircraft seats or cabin interiors.
- Familiarity with dynamic testing, including 16g tests, and passenger safety requirements.
- Knowledge of integrated certification processes involving Design Organisation Approval (DOA) and Production Organisation Approval (POA).
- Experience interacting with aviation authorities and supporting certification audits or compliance reviews.
