**MBDA Italia is the Italian company that is part of the multinational MBDA group, a world leader in the missile systems sector.** **MBDA represents the leading European Group with production and design capabilities able to cover the entire range corresponding to the current and future needs of the armed forces (land, air, and sea).** Within the **Missile Design Italy** Directorate, MBDA Italia SpA is looking for an **Image Processing Engineer** **Required Qualification**: * Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or equivalent * Minimum grade: 105 **Professional experience:** * Implementation, testing and verification of image tracking algorithms * Implementation of recognition algorithms using both classical methods and artificial intelligence-based technologies * Experience in using tools for synthetic image generation and rendering * Minimum experience in real-time SW implementation **Activities foreseen for the role**: The selected resource will deal with the following activities: * Define the requirements of the EO/IR systems on board the missile and the HW to embed Image processing / Computer Vision algorithms * Design, implement,



verify and validate Image processing algorithms (image tracking, Image enhancement, detection and recognition algorithms, image-based navigation) * Design, implement, verify and validate Artificial Intelligence-based algorithms (machine learning and deep learning) **Professional Skills**: * Definition of requirements for EO/IR systems * Experience in defining HW requirements for embedding Image processing / Visual Computing / AI algorithms * Basic knowledge of Optics and Radiometry * Design, implement, verify and validate Image processing algorithms (image tracking, Image enhancement, detection and recognition algorithms, navigation) * Design and implementation of Artificial Intelligence-based algorithms (machine learning and deep learning) * Definition of requirements for SW development and I/F requested by systems * Knowledge of main Image Processing tools * Knowledge of C/C++ and Python programming languages * Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink * Knowledge of the most common deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch. **Linguistic knowledge**: * Excellent level of written and spoken English **Organizational skills/Soft skills**: * Good ability to work in a group; * Good communication skills;
