Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Porter role based at Caruso, A Belmond Hotel in Ravello. The Porter supports guests from arrival to departure by warmly welcoming them, assisting with luggage, and escorting them to and from rooms and common areas. The role includes coordinating with reception and concierge, guiding guests through the property, and providing clear information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
The Porter helps manage the flow of guests at key access points, maintains tidy and safe public areas, and responds promptly to guest requests. Regular responsibilities also involve liaising with other departments to ensure seamless service, handling deliveries, and upholding Belmond’s standards of courtesy, discretion, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills to interact clearly and courteously with guests and colleagues.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with a focus on hospitality, guest satisfaction, and problem-solving.
- Ability to act as a Gatekeeper, managing entrances, guest flow, and access in a calm and organized manner.
- Experience or aptitude in Training and Education related to service standards, safety procedures, or guest care.
- Prior experience in luxury hotels or hospitality environments is highly beneficial.
- Fluency in Italian and good command of English; additional languages are a plus.
- Physical ability to safely handle luggage and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Professional appearance, reliability, and a respectful, inclusive attitude toward guests and team members.
