We are looking for an outstanding colleague to join our communications team as aSenior Social Media Specialist.

To succeed in this role, the candidate must be driven, organized and attentive to detail.




This is a senior role reporting to the director of communications.Location:This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region.
What your day will look like
Develop and own thecommunications strategyacross multiple channels, with a focus on excellent planning, messaging quality and timely delivery
Deliver regularanalysis and reportingon various communications channels, content performance and campaigns results
Support the growth and nurturing of Canonical's enterprise audience, while increasingproduct adoption
Develop flair withcopywriting and asset creationto create messaging that aligns with the brand and its personality, and drives audiences towards action
Beaudience centricand use modern tools to understand market sentiment
Create awareness onintegrated campaigns, product launches, webinar series, industry announcements and core content.
Package all of Canonical's product offerings and educational material creatively, while overseeingdistribution strategyand alignment across channels
What we are looking for in you
Understanding ofbest practices for communicationsin tech
Deep experience with all majorsocial media platformswith strong creative judgement
Hands-on knowledge ofsocial media management and analytics tools
Interest inmentorship and team development
Ananalytical eyeand the ability to develop measuring frameworks to inform senior decision making
Exceptionalinterpersonal skillsand aptitude for forging trusting relationships across diverse, cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with campaign objectives, paid media strategies and PR/AR initiatives
Excellentverbal and written communication skills, strong content marketer
Proven ability toprioritizeand differentiate what matters from the noise, meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality
Process ownerfor organic social media, establishing standards and leading planning and distribution across channels
Interest invideo and production,



with some projects or strong thoughts on the use of video in social media
Willingness totravel up to 4 times a yearfor internal or external events

Your base pay will depend on various factors including your geographical location, level of experience, knowledge and skills.
