Within the *Engineering/Missile Design Italia* Directorate, MBDA Italia SpA is looking for a Propulsion engineer. **Required Qualification**: * Master's Degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering (desirable specialization in solid or hybrid propellant propulsion systems and/or specialization in CFD analysis applied to internal combustion) * Minimum grade: 105 **Professional Experience** university experience (desirable work experience in the field of 2 or more years) * solid or hybrid propulsion, conceptual design, and performance analysis of propulsion systems * CFD analysis, particularly if applied to internal ballistics of thrusters * thermal analysis, particularly if applied to propulsion systems * definition of technical subsystem specifications,



particularly if applied to propulsion systems * technical management of external suppliers, including time/cost management and related risk analysis **Activities foreseen for the role**: The selected candidate will be responsible for the following activities: * conceptual definition of propulsion systems and definition of behavioral models for the propulsion system * definition of apparatus specifications for propulsion systems * performance analysis of propulsion systems * technical interface with external suppliers of propulsion systems * CFD analysis (preferred tools ANSA, ANSYS) particularly applied to the internal ballistics of thrusters * thermal analysis of apparatus **Professional Skills**: * technical knowledge related to solid or hybrid propulsion * technical knowledge related to modeling the internal ballistics of engines and estimating thruster performance * knowledge of CFD analysis tools (preferential ANSA, Ansys, Simulink/Matlab models) * definition of apparatus specifications **Language Skills**: * English **Organizational/Soft skills**: * ability to work in a team * adaptability * problem-solving * ability to work in international contexts * ability to synthesize
