About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our Paperboard Commodity and Food Packaging Board commercial activities across Italy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial leader with strong industry knowledge, a proactive sales approach, and a solid network within the printing, converting, and packaging merchant sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for Paperboard FBB and food packaging grades within Italy
- Drive revenue growth across key accounts and strategic customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carton converters, merchants/distributors and brand owners.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in adjacent segments (e.g., FMCG, food service packaging)
- Lead pricing, volume, and service-level negotiations
- Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitor developments
- Collaborate with regional and global APP teams to ensure best-in-class customer support
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and performance reporting to senior leadership
✅ Requirements:
- Minimum 4-6 years of sales experience in paperboard, folding carton, packaging board, or other adjacent industries.
- Preference for an established network of customers in Italy, especially within converting, and food packaging
- Strong understanding of EU food-contact packaging regulations
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and account management skills
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and willing to travel regularly across Italy
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Packaging, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Compensation: €50,000–€70,000 gross annual base salary, with the final offer determined by relevant experience and qualifications, plus a discretionary annual premio.
